Every year, costs go up. One of our biggest operating costs is medical care. On average, medication for helping the animals is about $13,000 per year. Pets arriving at the shelter are given vaccinations, wormed, and their physical condition is evaluated. An area veterinarian visits the shelter on a regular basis. Dogs are checked for heartworm and cats for feline leukemia and FIV. All pets are spayed/neutered.You can help us now by donating online. It's safe, secure, quick and easy!!! Just click here to get started.
Our shelter is supported solely by memberships, fundraisers and donations.
No state or federal funding is received. We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charity. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

If you feed your pets Purina Products, you could be earning a lot of money to help us. Purina has a special plan that helps us pay our vet bills, but we need your help collecting the weight circles off the packages of food that are 4 lbs. and over. Each circle is valuable and the money adds up quickly so please don't throw them away. Just cut out the circles and drop them off or mail them to the Benld Adopt-A-Pet Office.
Donations of any kind are always appreciated. Please download the donation sheet by clicking here. The donation sheet includes Honors and Memorials, Helpful Hearts, the S.T.O.P. Program, and one time-donations.
