Quote of the Day

"His herding instinct is so strong that he confuses tractors on a baseball field for sheep. He was hospitalized twice. Once by a line drive and once for attacking a tractor tread."

Photo of the Week
Rosie has left the building!
Picture
They say good things come to those who wait.  Rosie, a senior Heeler/Boxer mix had been waiting for awhile, but her turn finally arrived as she left the shelter for her new forever home yesterday.  Yay Rosie!  11/09/2025

Video of the Week
Hazel's day out
Yesterday staff member Allison spent her day off treating Hazel to a girls day with Allison's sisters. Hazel enjoyed a nice walk in Edwardsville, a tasty cheeseburger, blowing bubbles in the water, and of course a nap with her new bestie, Madison, on the way back to the shelter. It is nice that the staff want to spend their free time treating the dogs to a special day, especially the ones that take more time to warm up to new people. They choose a day tailored to that animals needs or limitations making it an extra special time.  11/07/2025
