Our shelter is located at 807 Stewart Avenue, Benld IL 62009. Persons wishing to adopt a cat or dog should first call 217.835.2538 to schedule an appointment. Our adoption hours are from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Monday. We are closed on Tuesdays and Christmas.
To adopt you must live within approximately 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age. We require that you be physically present to make the final adoption arrangements. We also require that all cats be kept indoors, and prefer that dogs have a fenced-in yard, secure pen, or be kept indoors, unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon ahead of time.
Adoption Fees:
- Cats $50
- Kittens (under 12 months) $75
- Dogs $120
- Puppies (under 12 months) $200
All pets have been spayed/neutered, are up to date with shots/vaccinations, and have been micro-chipped. If you have any questions about the animals, or want to know more about the shelter, please call us at 217.835.2538.
